A collective letter from Nordic B Corp CEOs
As certified B Corporations™ in the Nordics, we believe business can – and should – be a force for good. This collective letter is our call to other businesses: Join us in building a future where business helps restore and protect the planet.
This letter was co-created by B Lab™ Nordics and Nordic certified B Corporations (in short B Corps™) and published on March 3rd, 2026

* Certified B Corps are verified to meet B Lab’s standards – a commitment to high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability, rooted in stakeholder governance. The standards are a blueprint for all businesses on how to be a good company with requirements for a.o. fair working conditions, human rights, climate action, environmental stewardship and circularity. We commit to continuous improvements by measuring, documenting and sharing both our results and our challenges. The standards are constantly evolving towards higher ambitions on the planet’s behalf.
** Sustainable Business, Stronger Europe – insights into B Corps’ financial performance and resilience.

Learn more about the B Corp movement
-
What does the “B” stand for?
B stands for Benefit, and Certified B Corps have committed to pursuing a meaningful purpose beyond profit and to create benefit for all of their stakeholders. They are verified to meet high standards for social and environmental business practices, meaning that they have measured and documented their impacts against B Lab’s standards.
-
What is B Lab – and what is B Lab Nordics?
B Lab is a global non-profit organisation and network transforming the global economy to benefit all people, communities, and the planet. B Lab creates standards, policies and tools for responsible business that shift the behavior, culture, and structure of capitalism. We mobilize the B Corp community towards collective action to address society’s most critical challenges, and we collaborate with governments, academia, coalitions, and other institutions to drive economic systems change.
B Lab Nordics is the regional team growing and supporting the B Corp movement across Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden.
-
What do we mean when we talk about the B Corp movement?
Being a B Corp is much more than meeting a standard. It is also a community of like-minded companies who believe that businesses must take the lead in creating solutions for the future.
We share knowledge, and meet each other in training, meetings and events for B Corps – and sometimes friends can come along too. Check our events page here and subscribe to our newsletter to never miss out on what is happening near you.

Would you like to use one of the few third-party assured certifications as your framework, allowing you to speak confidently about your impact and to build trust with your suppliers and customers? And does joining a community of purpose-led businesses where you will – literally – be in great company feel like a good next step to you?
Anyone can use the B Impact Assessment to understand and improve their impact – certification is optional. The tools are free. Log in right now.
