The Empowering Consumers for the Green Transition Directive has entered into force

On 27 September 2026, national measures implementing the ECGT Directive began applying across the European Union. Although the application date is shared, the national transposition picture remains uneven. Some Member States have adopted national measures, while others are still progressing legislation, facing delays or verifying whether their implementation is complete.
