B Lab appoints Peter Williams as Chief Executive Officer

21 October, 2026

Peter Williams becomes the first CEO to lead B Lab’s whole global network. He takes up the role on November 2, and joins an executive team that reflects both continuity and renewal: Clay Brown, Chief Standards Officer; Marius Cimpoesu, Chief Technology & Data Officer; Emma Schned, Chief People & Operations Officer; and Marcel Fukayama, Chief Impact & Movement Officer.

As the B Corp movement marks 20 years, Peter Williams becomes the first CEO to lead B Lab’s whole global network.

“I trained as an architect because I believe the structures we build shape the lives people lead. The same is true of our economy. Much of my work has dealt with the consequences of how business and capital behave. B Corps are showing that those consequences can be changed at the source”, says Peter Williams, who also states that he is honoured to join the B Lab organization and the wider movement.

“One of B Lab’s strengths is that we are a global certification and movement. Together, we’re building an economy that works for all people and the planet, and at B Lab Nordics we are looking very much forward to Peter guiding the global network in the next chapter”, says Gitte Rosholm, Manager, B Lab Nordics.
