    Measure Your Impact

    B Impact Assessment (Version 1.6): For companies starting certification for the first time. It measures your performance across governance, workers, community, environment, and customers.

    Self-Assessment (New Standards V2.1): For companies preparing to recertify under the updated B Lab Standards. It helps you understand the new requirements and begin planning for V2.1.

    SDG Action Manager: A tool to explore how your business aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

    Assessment History: A timeline of your past assessments where you can review results, compare progress, and see how your performance evolves over time.

    Certify as a B Corp

    For businesses pursuing B Corp Certification, the Certify tab provides a structured approach to the certification process:

    Setup: Answer a questionnaire to determine eligibility and tailor your assessment based on company size, industry, and location. This will help determine the most relevant path to certification for your company from the outset of your journey.

    Certification Summary: Access and track progress through the required steps for certification, including disclosure, scoring, verification, and legal requirements.

    Reviews: View past submissions and feedback from the verification team.

SDG Action Manager

The SDG Action Manager is a free, web-based tool developed by B Lab in partnership with UN Global Compact. It helps any business, certified B Corp or not, to identify which of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals are most relevant to them, measure their current impact, and set clear, actionable goals to improve over time. With dashboards for tracking progress, benchmarking against peers, and collaborating across teams, it provides a structured path for companies to align business practices with social and environmental responsibility.

Legal Requirement

The B Corp Legal Requirement asks companies to adopt “stakeholder governance” specifically, and a broad purpose to create “material positive impact on society and the environment.” This sits alongside modified director obligations, ensuring that the leaders of the business must consider the impact of their actions on all their stakeholders, not just shareholders.
